One of the Charter objects of the Society is to maintain and develop the science and practice of pharmacy in its contribution to the health and well-being of the public.

This Charter object is met in part through the organisation of a programme of residential courses, conferences and symposia throughout the year. These are organised through the office of the Science Secretary.
