The Society makes the following science awards:

Awards to undergraduate students

A Science Committee award to undergraduate students is made available each year to each of the schools of pharmacy.

Harrison Memorial Medal

The Harrison Memorial Medal is awarded every two years for achievement by a pharmacist in both the science and the practice of pharmacy. It commemorates Lieutenant-Colonel Frank Harrison, an eminent pharmaceutical chemist and analyst in the early 20th century.

Hanbury Memorial Medal

The Hanbury Memorial Medal is awarded every five years for "high excellence in the prosecution or promotion of original research in the natural history and chemistry of drugs." The award, which takes the form of a gold medal, was established as a memorial to Daniel Hanbury FRS.

British Pharmaceutical Conference Science Medal

The British Pharmaceutical Conference Science Medal is awarded annually to a young scientist aged under 35 years. The successful applicant for the award, announced at the BPC, receives the sum of £750 and is invited to present a lecture on his/her work at the following year's conference.

GlaxoSmithKline International Achievement Award

The GlaxoSmithKline International Achievement Award is made annually. The award lecture is presented at the British Pharmaceutical Conference.
